Abdul Razak Ya’acob is a highly qualified and experienced trainer, consultant, coach and mentor. He is currently an Advisor to GRC Consulting Services.
Abdul Razak has vast experience as both Human Resource consultant and practitioner in the field of Human Capital Development including Human Resource Transformation, Knowledge Management, Human Resource Management Information System advisory and implementation.
He was the Human Resource consultant for MRCB Multimedia Consortium from 2008 to 2011 for Human Resource Management Information System Project comprising Human Resource business improvement process, system development, hardware and software installation, and implementation for 10 Government Pilot Agencies in Malaysia.
As a practitioner, Abdul Razak was the Divisional Head handling various portfolios from Human Resource, Insurance, Property, Security and Administration from 1995 to 2005 for Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad, the premium distributor of Mercedes-Benz and Mazda automobiles in Malaysia. During his stint with Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad, he was also in-charge on industrial relations where he successfully negotiated with the respective Union chiefs (NUCW, NUTEAIW and SCEU) for a Collective Agreement that is favourable and acceptable to both the employee and to the management.
As a trainer, he has experience in the areas of Knowledge Management, Human Resource Services and soft skills development including on the subjects of Motivation, Supervision and Time Management, Communications and Public Relations, Effective Presentation Skills, Interpersonal Skills, Effective Questioning and Amongst his many awards received during his stint with the Royal Malaysian Police Force were the Letter of Commendation from the Terengganu Chief Police Officer for exemplary conduct, Letter of Commendation from the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for exemplary work in a covert operation leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of the offenders, and Letter of Commendation from the Inspector General of Police for exemplary work and conduct in the successful arrest and prosecution of a major drug syndicate.
